Dinelka is originally from Sri Lanka and completed her Bachelor’s of Science with Honors in Chemistry from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Her previous research project was focused on synthesis of iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) using both chemical and plant-extract based methods and investigating the catalytic potential of IONPs towards organic reactions. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry at UH and joined the Harth group in October 2023.
