Breton Guggina is originally from Houston and graduated from Texas State University in 2025, where he earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology with honors. He worked in two research labs during his undergrad, first working for Dr. Jennifer Irvin on the modification of EDOT monomers for use in electrospun polymer nanofibers. After she left the university, he joined Dr Sean Kerwin’s group, where he worked on the synthesis of small molecules. He is pursuing his Ph.D at the University of Houston and joined the Harth group in 2025 with a strong interest in polymer chemistry and catalysis.
